Hi guys! I remember a few years ago I bought an annual pass and got a 10% discount as a DVC member..................does this still operate? Also, are we offered discounts on any of the other ticket options?

DVC members and their immediate family (living at the same address) get $100 off annual passes. There is no other DVC admission discount.

$100 off the annual pass, and $125 off the premium annual pass.

There are also discounts on single day tickets to the water parks and Disney Quest. $4 off for adults, and $3 off for kids.

Also 30% off La Nouba (category 2) tickets.

Huh, I was sure I'd read it was $100 off any AP - good to know!

There are coupons right now being sent to current A/P holders which are good for 10% off on up to 6 annual passes (and each A/P holder gets 4 of those coupons.) The current A/P holder gets a $25 gift card for each A/P ordered with one of his discount cards.

Go to the theme park board at the DIS and there is a long thread there of people offering their discount coupons to others to buy A/Ps. I think this is the best promotion yet by Disney. I gave away all 8 of our coupons today based on first come, first served to DIS members. By my estimate, we should be getting $775 in Disney gift cards as a result! That will be great for Christmas shopping during our October trip to F&W festival this year.

I just went to the passholder site and did some looking around, and then finally called Disney to ask about it. They have a web site set up for these discounts -- it's http://www.disneyworld.com/savingscard. (That takes you to the Florida residents page, but there's a link at the top that says "Not a Florida Resident?"

There are quite a few restrictions on this 10% discount.

  • It can't be combined with other discounts -- so no Shades of Green Military rate, AAA rate, or DVC rates.
  • The pass needs to be purchased in person. You can't purchase online or over the phone.
  • The pass needs to be purchased between May 1st and July 31st.
  • The discount cannot be applied to pass renewals, only new passes.

So, we missed it on several accounts. We'll be renewing two DVC discounted passes, and purchasing two passes for my parents. I was going to use it for their tickets, but we don't arrive until August 2nd. (Oh well.) I think I still get a better deal at Shades of Green, though.

I guess when I get my certificates, I'll be offering them online too.

I just read CheshireFigment's post on the theme park board. He includes a price for DVC discounted tickets in his post. As he is a CM who works in ticket sales, I'll defer to his interpretation of the rules over mine. Looks like DVC members can get the additional 10% off.

Not sure if the AP's will work for us. Anyone know of some good site to get discount tickets?

I just called MS and was told that the DVC discount could not be combined with the 10% discount.. maybe I'll pm figment..

Per Disney's FAQ:
"The 10% discount can be used to purchase a NEW Florida Resident, Tourist or DVC Member Annual or Premium Annual Pass."

As others have said there are several 'restrictions' or rules that have to be followed in order to get them. Cheshire posted this link earlier that has a lot of information on this. http://bookwdw.reservations.disney.go.com/ibcwdw/en_US/specialOfferDetails?name=Promo&promotionCode=phreferral&market=phreferral&CMP=VAN-FY09Q3AnnualPassVanity

Hopefully that can answer some of your questions. There is a link on that website that will also take you to the FAQ which outlines more of the 'rules' to get this discount.

What is the passholder pass along savings card?
Do I get a discount on an AP just for having my DVC membership card?

FYI - Canadians and other International guests cannot take advantage of this as we aren't mailed the Mickey Monitor (to save on postage, I suppose) in which the savings cards have been placed.

I have sent a very strongly worded email to Disney about their protocol with this promo and how I have spent the exact same money as all of you on tickets, yet because they won't spend a few dollars to mail me a Mickey Monitor, I am out of luck.

Hopefully they get back to me as I really feel they dropped the ball on this one in several respects.

Good luck securing your discounts, Tiger

Anyone have the total an AP would be with the DVC discount and the extra 10% off?
