Park thoughts and experiences - 9-26-21

Today was the most crowded I’ve seen the park since it reopened. Despite that, crowds were still quite manageable.

I rode Star Tours today for the first time in about four years. It used to give me motion sickness but I seem to be able to handle it better. It was fun to do something different.

It looks like there are plenty of AP/MK buckets left. A friend rushed to get his as soon as they came out but it looks like he could have waited.

Around 2:00 there seemed to be a plumbing problem on the far side of Buzz. Water (sewage?) leaked onto the walkway and they isolated that part of TL initially and then closed Buzz for about an hour. A short time later they widened the closure while they scrubbed and (presumably) disinfected.

Today was my last day in the park for about a month. My brother will be in town next weekend and the I’ll be in NYC (my favorite city in the world) and Chicago (my hometown… also in the world ;-)) for a bit. I’ll next be at DL on Oct 24. Might be nice to have a break. Perhaps it’ll make it all the nicer to return

Some pics.

Thanks for the report! I look forward to you going to the parks on Sunday so I can live vicariously through you. I was looking at ride times yesterday morning but only until about 10:30 or so. They seemed pretty good, 30 minutes for Peter Pan, 20 for Snow White and Alice, I saw a lot of things under 30 minutes. Was that the actual case for you? We go next weekend and our first day is Sunday. We're taking first timers and our first ride will be Peter Pan followed by Alice and Snow White hopefully.

Love the pictures and your report. Wishing you a great time with your brother and your visits to NYC and Chicago 🥳

Yes, I suppose so. Again, the crowd felt a bit crowded but not bad. Generally speaking, I do
most of my rides before about 11:00. After that, I tend to avoid long lines. I usually only do single rider or attractions with short lines (The Mark Twain riverboat, for example).

Hope it goes well! Please post a park report. I suggest rope-dropping PP and then hitting everything else in Fantasyland.

We are definitely rope dropping. I've already warned everyone we need to be there early no matter how tired we are. No exceptions. We rope drop, go back to the hotel from about 2-5 and then go back for the evening. That's what works best for us, especially when it's super hot.
