Okay, I just found out there is no fantasmic on Friday the second of May. I had us going to MGM that day and Epcot on Saturday because someone said school groups can crowd Epcot on Fridays. Do I need to change back? Is fantasmic really that worth it? I have a two year old and am worried that it might be too much for her anyway.......

It is indeed possible that your little one may be overwhelmed by Fantasmic.

But if you are asking if the show is worthwhile . . . YES !!! This is truly one of the best shows at WDW and is a must-see, especially if you may not be back for some time.

I don't have young ones myself, but I'm sure you'll get some feedback from others who have experienced Fantasmic with their toddlers.

I'm surprised that it will not be running . . . . . do you know why??

I just check the WDW website for park hours and it shows Fantasmic every night in May. May 1,2,3rd at 8:30 and the rest of the month at 9, hope this helps.

My girls both saw Fantasmic before they were three and loved it. If he/she has watched some of the Disney films and are familiar with the villans you should be ok. A few of the parts are scary but I just turned my kids around to face me on my lap if they were scared. I guess if they are ok with the other fireworks and loud sounds they should be with Fantasmic.

Its a wonderful show and IMHO unless your toddler is very timid, its worth trying. You could have a plan to bail and meet later if the child is scared.

It's totally worth it. Fantasmic is the crowned jewel of Disney shows IMHO. If your 2 year old is too frightened by it, you could simply leave. The action takes place across a body of water - not right in front of you, so that might help in keeping the fright factor down. Have a great time. :D

We took our son when he was 2 and he loved Fantasmic. It can go one of several ways- 1) your child may be so tired he sleeps through it! 2) your child may love it- seeing Mickey do some magic is a big thrill and it is beautifully done 3) or he may dislike it- the show isn't horribly long so you may be able to distract him with a glow in the dark toy- those spin top things work well (especially if you buy them on sale at the Disney store since it is cheaper). The hardest part is the wait with a 2 year old- to get a seat you need to get there about 30-45 min early and that's alot of time to kill- send someone to run around with your child and hold only one spot- it will be much easier.

just thoughts:)

This is so weird because it was a CM who told me there was no fantasmic Friday May 2nd. I was making my priority seatings yesterday and was trying to arrange according to fantasmic. She said that the park is closing early, no fantasmic, due to an event.
Weird.

I had read somewhere, can't remember where though, that there are graduation classes that go to Disney during the month of May. They close parks early to accomodate the crowds of kids. I'm not sure if this is the reason though, but it is the reason I was given as to why there is no Spectromagic parade or 8 PM parade during the month of May by Disney people. Sorry, I'm completely new and still haven't figured out some of your shorthand :p :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
