I posted this on the TPAS board, but thought I'd reach more Canadians here.

Looking to see if any Canadians purchased through Park Savers. My order total was $2412.90 CAD. Nowhere was I allowed to see USD prices... The receipt I received was for USD.

Unless they are charging my card in CAD, their prices are erroneous. They cannot control the conversion & even a charge posted today will be converted at the exchange rate on the day the charge hits my card, not the day the charge was made.

Has anyone bought from them & received a CC statement. If they are charging my CC in USD I would consider this bait & switch...

I did not order through PS for this exact reason. Prices listed on their website are in CAD and yet when I went to check out I noticed the Paypal amount was being charged in USD then using the Paypal conversion rate. As a result the actual total in CAD was higher than quoted on the website. My guess is the website uses a spot conversion rate but does not take into account foreign exchange fees levied by Paypal. I also considered this a bait and switch and used Undercover Tourist instead, which did not promise as large a discount but at least charged the amount listed on the website.

I just used my CC & until I got the receipt had no idea that I was not being charged in CAD. I have no idea what the exchange will be when the charge posts to my CC, but I'm going to lose at least $100 of my 'savings.'

Right at the top of the ParkSavers page is says "All prices are in CAD - Change" and if you click the Change link you can switch to USD.

I ordered off my iPhone & there was nowhere to convert. And why in the world would I want to know the CAD price if I'm not being charged in CAD & the 'guestimate' provided in no way reflects how the exchange will be processed by my CC company :confused3

As ccudmore said, I just changed to US dollars, so I could compare apples to apples with other sites. It was cheaper, so I went with them and ordered it in US dollars.

I ordered with parksavers and received a receipt as above with an american $ amount converted so it ended up being a few dollars more than they quoted on their website (like $5.00). I received my ticket vouchers this morning by email. I have a few issues:
1. They charged my mastercard twice
2. Disney website is not accepting either of the numbers on the tickets to link to my magicbands. There are two numbers on the tickets, the Expedia Itinerary Number and the Supplier reference number. Both are 13 digits. Disney website says tickets must be 10, 12, 17, 18, or 20 digits.
3. I phoned them 3 times this morning and each call went to voice mail with no "all our agents are busy" blurb.

I can deal with the double charge with master card, but how do I link these tickets.

Neither of those is the right number. You will get a separate email in about 72 hours with the correct numbers and instructions for linking. My number started with the first 3 letters of my first name.

Thank you, I was kind of in panic mode as I'm not used to doing things like this online. The internet is a scary place for me. :confused3

I get that, but the mobile site is not set up the same way. You have to dig for the conversion button & nowhere is it written that you will be charged in USD.

If it were $5 I'd blow it off, but just using a rate of $1.37 I'm paying $60 more than the CAD price given to me when I clicked 'process order.'

There were other Canadians in the PS thread on the TPAS board commenting on what a great exchange rate it was, so it is not clear that the price you agreed to is *not* the price you'll be paying.

If anyone else comes here looking for info I'd like to spare them the shock. Not everyone even owns a computer. Many do things like this via smart phone.

***Update*** to this post of this morning. Parksavers has been in touch with me, they believe the first charge was declined and it should drop off my statement, but are inquiring with the people who do their payment processor. My first attempt at ordering was rejected because of the address on my order not being written exactly as it is on my master card account. The second attempt was successful. I suspect this is what has happened. Advised I will wait until tomorrow and check my mastercard again.

Just wanted to update, so as not to give this company a bad rep if the situation is corrected. :)

Just as an update, they don't use Paypal any more as payment option. Credit card only. So, you'll be charged whatever your CC company is charging.

I just went on park savers and even comparing in US funds they are $40/ticket cheaper than Undercover Tourist. Is this because they are still selling at the old prices? We aren't going until September. Should I be buying tickets now?

If you're comparing apples-to apples and it will save you $40.00 ... I'd say YES! They could still have some old stock of tickets and that might explain the price difference. I say go for it

The dollar dipped a bit this past weekend, so I pulled the trigger for my passes. Through touringplans.com ticket optimizer I found Park Savers had the best price for hoppers. We were originally only looking for base tickets (4 adults for 6 days), but the hopper price for 7 days (plus 3 extra) came in at only $105 more total, so we went with that. Details:

7 Day Hopper (adult) - $389.50USD (plus 3 extra days)
Total for 4 adults - $1558.00USD
Conversion on my CC - $2080.00CAD

Slightly cheaper (about $100.00CAD) than the price I got through the Canadian Park Savers site.

Happy with the price. These specific pass options were the best value. A savings of $312USD over current WDW ticket pricing for 7 Day Hoppers. I suspect these are old stock passes priced before the increase. Park Savers did not seem to have any similar deals for base tickets - only hoppers. Fingers crossed - 1 more day before I can start booking FP+. Will try to link them to My Disney Experience tonight as the vouchers and related FP+ link info just arrived today.
