Park reservation system confused???

So I have a park reservation for Epcot on June 6, I was playing around with the idea of maybe switching it to Hollywood studios and park hopping to Epcot later. Or possibly going to HS after blizzard beach the 7th.

if I go to the Disney World website not under my account and check reservations it shows nothing but Epcot available for the 6th or 7th. But if I go in my app and look it shows all 4 parks for each day. If I click it just prompts me to cancel my original reservation first but would it really show all 4 like this if they aren’t available and then you cancel the exsisting and then you’re screwed? Thanks!!

The app will show all 4 parks when you choose a date. Click on a park and if it is sold out, the next screen will say:

hmmm See I don’t think I can get to that part because when I click a park it says you already have a park reservation for that day so I don’t know that it would tell me. So if I’m in the website not the app and it’s showing those Park sold out at probably really means that it is?

Sold out for some of the buckets. Your particular day is still wide open for AP holders. It's possible that Disney could redistribute reservation availability at a later date.

I'm finding the process really intimidating at the moment.
It looks like I need to select a ticket for a park for a day in advance, which I get, but how inflexible is this process?
What if I need to change when I go? If I book a few dates, like maybe 2 parks for my group for dates I expect to go now but things change and I am worried so I want to postpone am I stuck?

You will need valid tickets before you can make park reservations. If you later wish to change the order of your park reservations (such as you want to swap your MK and Epcot days) that can be done providing there are still reservations available for those parks on those days. I don't advise making park reservations for only some days of your trip because you could end up shut out of any park.

If you want to change dates completely -- like go in November instead of August -- you would need to first change your tickets and then make all new park reservations for the new dates.
