Ok hope someone see's this and can provide some insight, it is a little bizzare. Have a Resort reservation and all of us have annual passes. The problem comes with MDE and linking everything. When I went to order bands my wife has a 2nd avatar in her MDE friends and family, no I have idea how it happened. I mistakingly choose that avatar fo get the band for the reservation and the AP is not linkd to that avatar. So when i try to make a pass park with the correct avatar that has the AP it comes up, Park Pass Limit reached". Even though she has no park res for the day. When I try to link the other avatar that has the band for this trip linked it says, "No ticket". Have tried to call about 300 times at this point and it is pointless. if anyone has a clue that would be great. If not I will just say thanks for taking the time for reading and hopefully Disney will square it up when we arrive.

TY

Try to reassign her correct avatar as her room resort then make the park reservations. It should work... If not, try to use chat to see if they can make the swap or contact Tech support to see if they can marry the two accounts. Good luck!

As far as MDE is concerned, the two different avatars are two different people. One has a resort reservation. The other has an AP. The one with the resorts reservation cannot make a park reservation because there are no valid tickets attached to that person. The one with the AP cannot make a park reservation because the reservation system is no open to anyone without a resort reservation.

My solution would be to go to your reservation on the DVC website and remove your wife’s name from the guest list. Then modify the reservation again to add her. When you go into MDE, it will try to match the name on the reservation with one of her profiles. Choose the profile with the AP and it should all work fine from there.

Later on, when all of this craziness settles down and you have already taken your trip, you might want to call Disney IT to merge her duplicate profiles to avoid any confusion from here on out.

You may have to call. We had a similar problem and were unable to change it on our own. I tried twice with DVC and finally got it fixed calling Disney, not DVC.

Yes I have been calling since it started and you can imagine getting through is not working LOL. Thought about modifying res. as you said but was worried about screwing up the stuff we had already set up but may try if I can't get through today.

We have tried to have Disney change it a few times and they never have any luck.

TY both

Same problem here. My DH has 2 avatars. One with tickets and one with a DVC resort reservation.

I'm over it. I could barely take all the pre-planning and chaos before. It just keeps getting worse. I'm not sitting on hold for hours. If we can't get into parks, we'll either cancel or not do parks. I just don't even know what to think anymore.

Actually, @Marionnette is brilliant. This works.

I had the exact same problem with my daughter for our July trip.

Called (800) 848-6413 ext 3 at 1:59 pm. Was on hold 2 hrs 45 minutes. Worked with Thad (fabulous CM) for just over an hour after that. He merged her two profiles, changed all of her park passes from an extra 7 day hopper I had sitting in a fake profile to her AP and then put that hopper back in the fake profile. We were also having issues with the whole AP maxing out thing several others experienced. He tried every trick we could both think of and even put me on hold to get somebody else to try. Ended up putting in an IT ticket (help request) for me. Everything is fixed today and I’ve been able to get all my days! Now to wait until we can reserve for June 2021!

and then put that hopper back in the fake profile.
:offtopic: Glad it worked out for you, but I think it is sad that even Disney IT realizes the need for fake profiles in MDE.
We set up ours to make sure the wrong ticket is not used, despite being told "prioritizing" our tickets at Guest services will insure that does not happen

That’s exactly why we had set up our fake profiles!
