As always a great Sunday report!

Love your pics!! But I'm curious.....3 of your FL pics look like they were taken looking down from a 'higher' vantage point, where did you take those pics from? And lil Mary & Bert are adorable!!

PS that's a pomegranate, not a persimmon. We had a lovely pomegranate bush in our backyard until our neighbor's carelessness burned it to the ground (along with just about everything else in the back yard).

I take those from Dumbo. I post similar pics after nearly every visit. They’re such a fun/good shot that it’s too hard to resist taking them.

Yes, I agree: the kids were smashing! ;-).

Wow, Dumbo! I didn't realize it went that high up. I'm going to have to try that angle next time! I don't often 'do' Dumbo but I'll make a point of it! There aren't many shots one can get from 'above' FL since they took out the Skyway!

It's still up in the air. I'm hoping first week of November. My nDH (non-Disney Husband) will be done with his cancer treatment by then, but may not be sufficiently recovered for me to leave him home alone. If not then sometime between Jan-Mar of next year.

Wow -- best wishes for your husband's recovery. After an ordeal such as that, he deserves to get away. Please let me know if I can help with maps, buttons or other such Disney tchotchkes .

The getaway will be just me. His 'getaway' will be me being gone and not hovering over him every second of the day! I have a dear friend in the LA area (I was raised there) and I usually visit her every year and spend a day or two at DL solo. With Covid and now nDH's illness we haven't seen each other in 2 years.

He's not a Disney person, that's why I call him 'nDH' (non-Disney Husband). He really enjoys WDW but doesn't care for DL so will only go to DL 'under duress'. He says DL is 'too crowded' and that there's 'more room' at WDW and there's some truth to that, I think.

I couldn’t say. I don’t use it these days. I have a friend nearby. That allows me to park and get to the security line before the structure is even open. Generally, I believe it’s opened at 7:00 in recent months (or so I’ve heard).

Feel free to find me and say hello if you’re there on a Sunday. That’s when I’m usually there. Hopefully these new APs (I know: Keys) will allow me to make it nearly every Sunday. Or at least as many Sundays as I’d like . Incidentally, I did buy a two-day ticket so I’ll be at DL the next two Sundays. Thereafter, I’ll have an AP and should be able to make it regularly.

I’m sorry to hear your nDH is in cancer treatment.

Hovering. I think you’re right about his break. Can someone else possibly stay with him in Nov if needed? Though COVID is throwing a wrench in all planning these days.

Problem is that if there is any 'hovering' needing to be done he doesn't want anyone else to do it but me. lol

Covid plays into it too, with the (albeit rare) reports of breakthrough infections. Even though my friend and I are fully vaxxed, we've decided that we both need to feel comfortable being in close contact for 2 weeks AND that she feels comfortable with me spending a day or so in such a potentially crowded place (DL) with unvaxxed people not wearing masks (even if 'only' outdoors).

But I'm derailing Rob's thread. So back to our 'original programming' with (hopefully) more pics!!
