I've been reading everybody's trip reports and have a couple questions. First I am going March 23-26 and figured the weather would be quite mild. After reading several posts about snow I thought I should ask. Sweaters and jackets or winter coats still? I read a post about someone who came in with the breaksfast diners but actually used the time to walk around and start lining up for rides. I think he did this for fun, but is there any major advantage at going in extra early. When do the attractions actually start running? I also got the impression that rides tend to go down a lot. I am very organised and usually plan an itinerary. How would I go about doing this. Where can I find the best maps/descriptions of all the attractions to get a rough Idea of what I am going to do and when.

Thanks for all the help.

for my first trip i used i guide by simon veness, which i would recemend to help plan for disneyland resort. you can get it from amazon. I think that you will find it useful.

We tend to make no plans at all and take each day as it comes - saves disappointment when rides have long queues or you spend longer in a shop or just decide to go for a wander.

If you get in early, especially early with Fantasyland breakfast, you wouldn't need to get in line but can usually just go on the first ride of the day with no hassle. handy for things like Peter Pan which get busy very quickly.

Best information source of all is Simon's book: http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos...11127/sr=2-1/ref=sr_2_3_1/202-7338358-5095819 - there is a new edition coming out in Feb if you can wait.

Another recommendation for Simon's book.
We have a rough thought as to what we are going to do on a day, but even in the height of summer have never changed it very much.
The main advantage of early arrival is that you will manage to get a lot of rides in without queuing much.
Good example is Peter Pan which often has no Fast Passes after mid day. So arrive early and ride PP. Then collect a FP for later in the day. Otherwise sometimes see wait times of 90 minutes :earseek:

I agree with getting Simon's book. I also second getting to the park for opening. A lot of people don't arrive until about 11am, you can get so much done before then.

I'm a bit of a planner too and would recommend Simon's book . I'd also recommend having the early fantasyland breakfast one day as the extra time there is so beneficial as there are so may rides there to enjoy ;)

Another thumbs up for Simon's book ( all this free publicity isn't time for a kickback ? ) .
