Hey guys, I know you probably get tired of being asked this but can anyone help me with a park plan? We have only been to Universal Studios once, and the crowds were very light. We are going on May 16th this year, and although that's around the same time we went last year, it seems as though many people are expecting more crowds. We are only going to Universal Studios and we will just have one day.

These are our MUST-DOS:
Shrek 4-D
The Mummy
JAWS
The Simpsons
ET
Horror picture make up show

These are things we would LIKE TO DO:
Beetlejuice Show
Men in Black
Terminator
Jimmy Neutron Blast
Twister

Is it necessary to get to the park when it opens to accomplish these things? We are planning on eating at Margaritaville that night and possibly hitting up the Citywalk clubs. I'm not sure if we could make it from 9am - 1 or 2 in the morning.

Thanks so much for the helP!!

While I can't help you much right now, I will be there 4/21 to 4/26. I'll be happy to give you any hints I can once we return. What I have learned from here so far id that if you are not staying on site you should really be at the gate for opening. Get the major must sees out of the way before 11 ish when the crowds start to form and then do the other things.

We just returned from our trip on Thursday, and it was REALLY packed. We were at the gates when it opened and this is what we did:

Shrek 4-D- we went straight here, we were in the first group of people in.

Twister- we did this second, and went right in, no wait.

The Mummy- my DS & DN rode this 3rd and waited about 10-15 minutes.

Character meets with Shrek & Spongebob

Terminator 3D-we waited what seemed like an eternity, probably only about 30 minutes though.

JAWS- by the time we made our way to JAWS, it was around 11:30am and there was already an hour wait:(.

After that we kind of walked around aimlessly looking for a ride without a ridiculously long wait. By this time most of the rides had 60-90 minute waits! So definitely do like others have suggested, get to the must do rides ASAP!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Oh okay. Thanks!!! I think I will try to do The Simpsons and the Mummy first so that the wait won't be ridiculously long.
