We have park passes from 4 years ago, my son who has a child's pass is now 4 years older. What do I do, do I go through the line and see what happens?
We are only going to use one day of the two days that are left on the pass and just hop from park to park in one day. We are also going to use one of the options at TL. :chat:

Personally, (assuming your son is over 9 years old) I'd go to Guest Relations and use the residual value of the child's pass to purchase a new regular pass.

I think if you bring your son along and show them that this is his pass and he's now 4 years older (and past the 9 year child limit)...they upgrade the remaining days for him to an "adult" pass for free.

Free would be great!! I wonder if this is disney way of paying us back for spending so much money at their parks. :goodvibes

I have heard from many people that it is free to upgrade a child's ticket to an adult as long has it was first used when they were a child. :)

Thank you, I just went to that site and seems to be free. My child is now 14 years old, better to be safe than sorry. I wish I had a phone number to call to confirm this.

Good things often happen to folks who are truthful! :teeth:

Your son can exchange the pass for an adult pass with the same remaining admissions including plusses at no charge. Also, if he is just 10 or 11 he may be able to use up the pass without doing the exchange.

It is best to do the exchange at Guest Relations just outside the park. If you need another ticket to finish the vacation with you may be better off pricing out and buying all new tickets and saving the leftover tickets for further off in the future when the accumulated leftovers are sufficient to do an entire vacation with.

I just called disney, the cm said i need to pay the difference between a child and an adult ticket. I hope she is wrong and everyone on the boards is correct. Try to save money anyway possible.

At least now you're prepared for both possible answers.

Just returned from disney and my son's child's ticket was upgrade for FREE!! :cheer2:

YEAH!!! Thanks for a first hand account of what is currently being done. :)

Just a clarification: It's a first-hand account of what generosity one guest received. Every guest can have a wonderful experience at WDW, but we all shouldn't expect the same wonderful experience.

Having said that, there have been many reports of Disney upgrading child passes to adult passes for free. I pays to ask, since best case, you get this wonderful bonus; worst case, you just have to pay for your child's wonderful expernece what you were supposed to. It's a win-win. Good for you, luvdisney14!
