Been looking atthe DLp website and got a good quote for 4 nights and 4 days at DLP.

Do the park access days have to be consecutive i.e. if we arrived on a Tuesday could we do this ...

Tuesday - park (night 1 day 1)
Wednesday - park (night 2 day 2)
Thursday - off site at paris (night 3)
Friday - park (night 4 but park 3)
Saturday - park and home (day 4)

Hope that makes sense ......

It's a while since we have bought a package. There is an expiry date on the tickets bought along with your hotel, but I'm not sure how long it will give you.
My guess is you would be okay with your plan :)

If you spend 4 nights in a disney hotel and have a package, your pass will be valid from the day of your arrival to the day of your departure (included). So I think there is no problem with with you plan.

With a 4 night stay with the included park passes, you'll have five days admission to the parks (from the morning of the day of arrival to the evening of the day of departure), so can go in and out on any of the five days you'll be there.

Not necessarily as i found out this week. I had priced up the Cheyenne for 3 nights on the DLRP website. It gave me a price and then said for an extra such and such i could stay a night longer. However this extra price only included the extra night not the last days park entrance.
The cost of the 4 nights with park entrance for the full 5 days was higher.

I very nearly booked at the cheaper rate until i looked at the breakdown and it only showed 4 days entrance to the park.
So i am going to book in a few days for the higher rate package which includes the 5 day pass.:goodvibes

I think this option of an extra night was added last year to give people the chance to stay a night either side of their package without having park tickets. Its especially useful if you have to leave early for eg a flight otherwise you were paying for the day in the parks without the benefit.

So usually the tickets you book as a package will include an extra day in the park than night eg 4 day 3 night, 2 day 1 night etc as the day you arrive and leave are all included.
So OP I think if you booked a 5 day package it would give you the option of 5 days in the park and 4 nights but if you chose not to spend a day in the parks thats OK but you still have the tickets otherwise if you want a day without tickets I think you would have to book accom and tickets separatly (but I may be wrong on that one)

As "A Small World" says we too have always booked a package and had arrival and departure day included on our hoppers, you will need to double check the option you're looking at for how many day's park entry is included, but the days don't have to be consecutive and the validity date varies - ours have been between 7 and 21 days validity period from the arrival date, I've just double checked them. :)
