i have a question- we were at WDW last week- we changed rooms and later that day i inserted the old room key into a fastpass machine and got what i thought was a fastpass - i did this with 2 old keys (my kids keys) but it didn't give me anything when i inserted either of the two old adult keys. but later when i went to use the two 'fastpasses' i noticed it said NOT A VALID FASTPASS -'see a cast member'. they were nice enough and let us on the attraction anyway.
my question is, is the fastpass system linked to the entry system to the park itself?? eg - if you don't slide your park ticket thru at the turnstyle would you still get fastpassses?
just wondering why the old adult room keys didn't give anything from the fastpass while the old child keys printed this 'not a valid fastpass' thing out.
