Park opening for Animal Kingdom

When going to AK for rope drop (we've never been at opening!), is there a place to grab coffee or a muffin while waiting for opening, or are you outside the park until open?

There's a Joffrey's right outside the bag check, coffee and pastries are available and they open before park opening
