Park Hours

I'm a DW vet and have only been to DL once before; our second time coming in December. I like to plan way ahead.

My question is what is the logic/reasoning why DL posts park hour only about 45 days in advance? Right now, hours are posted through October 16 on the app and 18 on the website. That's not even 60 days.

If dinning etc. can be booked 60 days in advance, why aren't hours posted at least that far out?

Great question! I'm going in 18 days (counting down!!) and I have been planning this trip since last January. You have to if you want to book rooms across the street. So I understand your frustration. I'm also an early planner (had my packing list done last month). I don't have an answer for you, just sympathy for your plight.

Typically DLR posts their operating hours 45-days in advance, with preliminary entertainment information also posted and dining reservations open 60-days in advance. I generally think that DLR doesn't post their schedule that far in advance so that they have more flexibility to change things and because they're still operating (to some degree at least) as a locals/"within driving distance" park. I wish they would post information a little more in advance (like at the 60-day mark), but I like that it doesn't take as much planning as WDW.

As a WDW regular, this has been the bane of my existence since I first started visiting the DLR resort about 12 years ago. BUT there's just less planning involved than WDW, little to no need to make dining reservations, no FastPass+ in advance, etc.

The only part that really stinks is I would plan my days around the park hours if I could. And right now I have no idea if Matterhorn is going to be open during my dates or not as they keep what's down for refurb pretty close to the chest sometimes. That would typically be a DEALBREAKER for me.
