Park Hours

I have been trying to get some park hours for our trip in August. There is nothing on Disneyland.com past May 8. This is only 40+ days. Having been to WDW many times, this seems so last minute. Is this normal for the release of park hours? I also see that the dining calendar goes out 60 days. So are dining reservations available to be made before you have the park schedule? What about dining reservations with parade or show viewing? How do you make these reservations when you don't know the entertainment schedule yet? Can I look at last August and assume it will be the same or pretty close?

Also has anyone heard any info on what the parade will be after June 18 when the MSEP will end? We would love to Paint the Night as we have seen MSEP many times before. Any rumored dates for Fantasmic to return?

Thanks,

Late announcement of hours is standard operating procedure at DLR. Entertainment will be filled in even later.

Dining reservations open 60 days out. But it's not the big fight for times like some places at WDW.

No announcements yet on PTN returning, although that's the assumption most are making.

No dates yet on Fantasmic. I think initially they hoped for June, but I wouldn't be shocked to see it pushed back.

Right now all you can do with any of it is hurry up and wait.

The only piece of it that I think will be critical will be if you want some sort of dining package for Fantasmic. I think those will go quickly (assuming they will offer something).

As mom2rtk said, DLR doesn't publish their operating calendars very far in advance. Most often, the hours are posted about 45-days in advance, with entertainment, refurbishment, etc. being added at any point after that.

Dining reservations are generally released 60-days in advance (one day at a time), but there can be delays (especially at the starts of new months or when DLR is shifting operating modes (e.g., from summer to fall). If you log-in on the 60-day mark and you can't get a reservation for somewhere, it's more likely that they haven't loaded it into the system yet (opposed to already being fully booked). As mentioned, dining reservations are much easier to get at DLR (nothing like WDW). I agree that if F! has debuted by the time you go, that will probably book up the fastest (but again, I still don't think it'll book up like things book up at WDW).

You can look at past Augusts, but it's hard to say if it'll be similar this year. Last year, it was the end of the 60th. This year, there is a chance that the new F! (and RoA area) will have debuted, so no one really knows what the schedule will be like.
