Park hours September 2018?

Trip booked 9/7-9/14 Park hours are not fully posted yet, which is fine. However, I do see that Friday and Saturday MK is only open til 6pm.....?? I know that can change. But I am also wondering if it is because there is a special event those nights? Any thoughts?

Friday 9/7 and Saturday 9/8 would be the traditional timing for Night of Joy, but 1) those dates and the event itself have not been announced yet and 2) for the last two years NOJ events have been held at WWoS and not MK (prior to that, it was a hard ticket party event at MK and the park did close early both nights).

So my speculation is that they are placeholders for possible NOJ events and maybe the format is changing back to MK, but that again is total speculation.

There are also 6pm closes on that Thursday and Sunday, which I suspect are MNSSHP dates. It would be somewhat rare for Disney to load four MNSSHP dates in a row like that, especially on a Saturday, and early on in MNSSHP season. So my guess is it’s something else, like NOJ, or similar. But stranger things have happened. ;-)

Disney has published early closes around August/Sept only to later revise them to normal park hours, so just keep an eye out.

That's what I suspected. But I did think it was strange that it was 2 nights in a row. Thanks for the link to the other thread!
