Park Hours/Magic Hours for July 2017

I'm a summer Disney regular. We are usually at Magic Kingdom very late (midnight, 1-2am) while we are there. I remember late closing times for Magic Kingdom during the summer. We will be going to Disney (Magic Kingdom/Epcot) for only 2 days in July. Not getting park hoppers this time so trying to plan out which days we will be in which park. Want to maximize park time by going to the parks when they have the longest hours. Park hours are listed for Magic Kingdom as 9-9 and that's a Friday and Saturday. Magic hours are only listed for MK on the Friday as 8-9. We are 6 months out now. I don't remember MK EVER closing at 9 while we are there during the summer. Will they change the closing time for MK and when do they typically do that? Will they add extra Magic Hours and when do they do that?

You're asking a question that many have asked the past few months. The simple answer is that at this time you're looking too far out. For the past few months Disney hasn't finalized park hours and emh until about 30 days out. So if you're going in July, unless they change what they've been doing since about mid last year, I'd anticipate hours to chance around beginning of June.

Just plan around what is posted, but anticipate hours for all parks to be extended. And also keep an eye on emh as they might change what park has emh on what day

We had this issue last summer as well. They will most likely change MK hours to 10 or 11 pm as we get closer, but there are no guarantees. I agree it is the earliest I have ever experienced in the summer if it remains the case. There is no night parade listed for MK and only one F!/no SWaGS for DHS. This should change.

I believe there has already been a switch in park EMH hours for July (and maybe June). It is definitely different from what they had last summer... I had to change some of my initial planning as I was trying to figure out my ADRs because it seemed some days had changed in the middle of my planning. Plus, there were only two evening EMHs (MK and EP)- they had only AM for DHS and AK. Frustrating for sure, but you are not the only one dealing with it! There are a bunch of us planning right now who are feeling your pain!

There is no longer a night parade in MK. They could come out with one by the summer, but there's no word on that so it would be doubtful

I'd strongly anticipate Star Wars show to still be at HS as it's not a seasonal show

I think they are anticipating ROL being open at AK as well, so those hours will probably change. Too much uncertainty.

I always make my dining reservations 180 days in advance, and the calendar has always been updated with EMH at that point. I don't see how they expect us to take advantage of ADR o early without knowing the park schedules.

As CAS239 said, Disney has been dropping this ball for many, many months now.
This will likely only change if guests complain loud enough in larger numbers.

I complained about it last year, and have done so again this year. If enough people complain, hopefully it will change. Either shorter ADR time period or longer notice on accurate hours.

On one trip, in July 2014, they completely changed the EMH only days before we arrived. There were no night EMH at MK the entire week.

It was the same story for us last July; many last minute changes that affected our park days /ADRs. I did send Disney an email. Due to last summer's drama I only made one ADR in a park for our upcoming July trip, the rest are at the resorts, and Disney Springs.
