Park Hours in December

Does anybody know why the parks close so early even in the middle of the month? I know they arent expecting alot of crowds but it is Disney World and there will always be crowds. And does anyone think that they will extend the hours once the parks fill up? And by the way to all of the Florida fans that are all over this board "HOW ABOUT THEM TENNESSEE VOLUNTEERS!!!!!!!" Ok I fell much better now.
