Does anyone know what I should expect the park hours to be in January....around January 10th? Trying to figure out a few things! Thanks!

Probably around 9am - 8pm for the first few days of Jan, then 9am - 6pm for the rest of the days (including the 10th).

This is judging from last Jan. :thumbsup2

I was talking to a TM today in IOA and I was asking why the park was closing so early for Labor Day Weekend. He told me it was due to the economy. He said that hours have been shorter than previous years due to the economy. I don't think I would go by any history of hours now trying to figure things out. If the economy picks up, more guests go, more money into the park & that means more hours they can remain open since they will have the money in the budget to pay their TM's... :goodvibes For all the TM's sake, as well as ours too.. let's hope the economy does pick up and we can go back to looking at what hours use to be to figure out what they will be for a future trip..:goodvibes

The park is actually closing later for labor day weekend this year versus last year..

I personally think 9am - 6am on Jan. 10 would actually be a pretty safe estimate.

Come the 25'th the studios side will close at 5PM for HHN.
IOA stays open A hour longer when HHN is going..

The park hours are deff earlier, got to keep profits up to stay in buis.Last year around this time we went and IOA was empty. We had the whole park to ourselves seemed like, which was good for us.We walked onto everyride. But its got to be bad for the parks profit with only 100 or so people in the park.

Myself cant stand doing MIB with only oneside running and the wate time is 45min.Thats when I use the single riders line. But cant max-out this way

Yes, but for labor day weekend, which she mentioned was closing earlier, its actually an hour later.

The studios side closing earlier for HHN doesn't have to do with the economy.

I didnt look at the calender that well.your right it is open A hour longer. But only because Universal is expecting larger crowds only.
There not going to keep the parks open longer then they should withuot peeps bieng there..
I think Universal goes by how many on-site rooms are booked and how many express passes are bought for that date to base thier hours on!!

Thank you! 9-6 is what I was guessing, but I knew there would be more Universal savvy folks here! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I only went by what TM told me.. I didn't go by any previous hours..He is the one that said hours are being cut due to the economy, not me..

He also told me that they weren't sure what they were going to do for HHN hours either. Not sure if they would be open till 1 or 2 on peak nights. Again, that is not me speaking but TM.. so if I am wrong, don't be flogging the messenger.. I am only passing on what he said...;) I just could never understand why Universal closes so early sometimes.. and no, not just now with the economy... as the old calender shows, it is something that has been happening.
