park hours and calender from 5th july onwards...

Thank you for your help, so does that mean rides close at 7pm? That seems very late for a theme park... which is great by the way :)

I did look on Disneyland's website about 'Extra Special Hours', but I don't fully understand what they are; are they extra time for rides, for hours before and after the 'opening/closing' times? :s

Yep, the rides will, in the main, be open to ride right up to park closing time.

Extra Magic Hours are from 8am to 10am each morning.
If you are staying at a Disney onsite hotel, you are entitled to get into the park, and into the Castle, Fantasyland and Discoveryland, from 8am, and do whatever rides are open then (most of the rides in Fantasyland are open, and they get very very busy after 10am, so Extra Magic Hours are a real advantage if you want to do those rides). Also Buzz and Space Mountain are open to ride during Extra Magic Hours.

If you are not entitled to Extra Magic Hours (ie if you're not staying at an onsite hotel), you can't get into any of the "lands" to ride any rides until 10am.

I agree- we did this at Easter for the first time and are aiming to do it again later this month. In fact Id love to ride it whilst the fireworks are on - does anyone know if this is possible or will all the rides have stopped by then as theoretically its just after closing time

I can definitely remember riding it in August 2006 whilst Fantillusion was on ~ I remember there were only a few of us and we rode again and again :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 I've got a feeling they closed it before the fireworks started ...... but not 100% sure, it's a bit too long ago now!! ;)

It looks like they only post the schedule a month at a time - is this the norm or is it a summer thing?

No thats the norm- only a few wks at a time - sometimes it can be less than a month. It usually links in with changes to seasons etc in DLP

...
... so does that mean rides are open till 11:00pm??!! I don't wana get my hopes up in case this isn't right, but if it is thats amazing!!
Will there be a light parade too do you think?
:confused3

According to the schedule, there will be a light parade, yes.

As for ride opening times, I've generally found that more rides are open pretty much until closing time, although Fantasyland tends to shut a bit before because they need to set up the fireworks (I assume this is still the case), plus some others also close slightly early for one reason or another.

The schedule won`t appear when I click on the official Disney page...... I wanna see the schedule too... :(
Am I the only one with this problem?

It opens with those dates for me too. :thumbsup2

Well it still doesn`t opens for me :( Could anyone print scrn the programme/ calender and post it in this thread for me so I can print it out. And please do not resize the pic.

When I open it on the link above it states Programme 05/07 - 03/08/2008.

Same here. Maybe just go to the main site and navigate from there from scratch rather than click on the link?

I`ve tried that too. I`ve tried deleting all my cookies and it still doesn`t work. And I`ve tried opening the link from three different computers. Still not the newest programme.

The following url details events from 5th July to 3rd August, can't set as a link as haven't reached the minimum number of posts!
