I have (12) 1 day complimentary park hoping tickets that were given to us from Old Key West management after we had several issues with our 2 bedroom suite a few years ago. We are returning to Disney in November and my husband and i will use 10 out of the 12 tickets (we are doing 5 park days and 1 MVMCP). Of the 5 day parks we are doing AK and HS in one day using our park hoppers. We need to get my 2 girls a 5 day magic your way pass and because of the park hop we plan, i assumed i would need to get them hoppers (50 more for each ticket). Now heres the question. Could i use the last (2) 1 day comp tickets instead for them? I.e. use the 5 day pass to get them in AK in the morning and then use the 1 day comp ticket to get them in HS? And if so how would that effect fast pass?

It depends on how you received your complimentary tickets. Is it really 12 separate tickets? If they are separate, then that should work & you would need to link 5 tickets to you and your husband each, and one to each daughter...and then you can purchase 4 days for each of them. If they aren't each separate, the tickets usually aren't transferable.

Yes, they are really 12 separate tickets. Currently I have 5 each linked to both my husband and I. The other 2 are unlinked.

Adding hoppers to a ticket is $73.50.

If the leftover 2 are hard, plastic tickets, link them to 2 middle name DDs. You can group them with the adults when booking FPs for whichever park when hopping - you and your husband are still limited to one set of FPs split/booked however you want.

See the FP and Park Hopping threads in the FP subforum.

Thanks for the reply....newbie here and i have no idea what it means to "link them to 2 middle name DDs" LOL!

@Melissa1977 ~ Add 2 new daughters to your MDE account and link the 2 leftover plastic tickets to your new daughters - named however you want. That's the only way you can use those 2 tickets at Park #2.

Oh! Gotcha. Then they would just use the hard ticket to get in HS instead of their magic band?

Correct! :) And if you book FPs for those 2 new kids, they tap the ticket at the FP line.
thank you so much! One last question. Obviously we aren't sending either of the girls (under age 9) on a ride by themselves via FP so...if we booked a fast pass using the 1 day tickets (say Rockin roller coaster - a ride that i don't think either would want to go on) could my husband swipe the plastic ticket and use that FP?

Yes. Anyone can use the pre-booked FPs.

At age 9, you can definitely send them on alone if you so choose. Seven is the minimum, but probably not a great idea depending on the ride. But it's totally within the rules if they're at least 7.

As for who uses those fast passes, it's whoever physically is holding the cards. We swap bands regularly in order to get everything to line up right. My son used Grandma's FP for Space Mountain since she definitely wasn't in the mood for that (and he went on alone because he's 10 and loves the ride).

could this be problematic if they are staying on site and using the 60-day FP+ booking window? The "new" daughters wouldn't be included in room reservations

The new kids only have to be grouped with an onsite real person and they share the 60-day window. After booking FPs, the FPs can be Modified and changed up as necessary.

If the kids aren't grouped, then they have a 30-day window. Plus, the parents are limited in how they book their alottment of 3 initial FPs.

You can link the 2 extra tickets to your DD profiles in MDE and start booking tickets at the same time that you start booking your own.

If she links them to her regular DD profiles, the DDs can't use the tickets to enter a 2nd park on the same day.

She has to link them to her "new" daughters so the system doesn't read them as belonging to the real daughters who already entered Park #1 with regular, non-hop tickets.

She said in the OP that the tickets are Park Hoppers. She will only need to purchase 4 day tickets for the DD and already has hoppers.

No, my (12) 1 day tickets are Park Hoppers (for which my husband and i will use 10 of) . I haven't gotten the girls tickets yet so I would like to just get them a 5 day non park hopper magic your way pass and then use the remaining (2) 1 day tickets that we received complimentary for the girls to enter the 2nd park that my husband and i plan to use our original park hopper tickets for.

Wouldn't you technically only need to purchase them 4-day tickets if they are using the comp hopper ticket on day 5? Just a thought.
