i have a couple of days left on my old(2000) park hopper tickets. since i will not be staying on site, what our my options for "hopping" from one park to another.

Park hopping is not related to staying onsite so you can park hop as much as you want as long as you have the proper ticket.

thanks for the response, i need to re-phrase the question. how do i get from park to park since i can't use disney's transportation system. my only other time at wdw was onsite so their buses was all we used.

Thanks for clarifying. That's a good question. I have never thought about that. I hope someone can help you figure something out.

I know you could take a boat between MGM and Epcot but I don't have an idea for the other parks other than a cab.

Once you get to any park from your off site hotel you may use Disney Transportation all you want. There are buses that go from park to park with the stop being at the Transportation & Ticket Center for Magic Kingdom. Most off site hotel shuttles drop off at TTC (MK parking lot area) also.

Exceptions:

1. You may be denied use of the resort monorail during morning and evening peak periods and before Magic Kingdom opens, use the express monorail instead,

2. You may be denied boarding resort buses late in the evening,

3. If you happen to be at a resort early in the morning you may have to wait until half an hour before that park opens before boarding the buses going to the park with morning extra magic hour.

Okay..this makes NO sense to me...you CAN'T use Disney's transportation system if you are staying offsite? The boats are part of the transportation system...what makes them different than any other form of transportation? I would think you could use the boats between MGM and Epcot, the Monorail between Epcot and MK....if you want to go from one park to another where the monorail or boats aren't available, then you should just hop a bus to one of the resorts and grab another bus from that resort to the park of your choice. Granted, we've only stayed onsite once but I've never heard of not being able to take the busses unless you are an onsite guest. Maybe someone else will come along and help me out here.

I have an additional Park hopping questions. I've never stayed offsite before. If I start off at Magic Kingdom and want to go to EPCOT, do I take the disney transportation, or drive to EPCOT? Also, if I leave one park for a couple of hours and want to come back later, do I have to pay to park twice? These questions might sound a little dopey, but I'm confused :confused3

Like others have said, you can use Disney busses, monorails, and boats for transportation. However, during busy periods (park closing, other times during peak seasons), you may be denied access. That being said, though, I have never been asked to show resort id to use Disney transportation.

justmitype - If you want to start your day at MK, you have three options -
1) Park at Epcot, then monorail to the Ticket and Transportation Center and either boat or monorail to MK. Later in the day, simply monorail back to Epcot.
2) Park at MK, then monorail to Epcot, then back to the TTC at night.
3) Park at MK, then drive to Epcot later in the afternoon. Honestly, this option would probably be just as quick as the first two.

Also, once you have paid for parking, you should get a paper showing proof of that. That paper allows you to enter any theme park parking lot without paying again for that same day.

Park Hoppers used to include access to WDW transportation. I assume the MYW tix do as well. I think Seashore CM gave very complete info.

Thanks! You cleared the confusion. Now all I need to do is pack and get ready to go tomorrow morning! :bounce: :cool1: :earsgirl: :earsboy:
