We want to maybe go to Animal Kingdom in the morning (on the 4th of July ) and then head over to MGM for our PS resse's in the afternoon, but I was concerned that the parks might stop letting people in due to over capacity ? Would we still be able to get into MGM if they reach their "limit" of people ?

I'm betting that you'll be taking a big chance. But I could be wrong. You are not talking about the Magic Kingdom.

That is our dilemma. We want to do the pool or something during the early part of the day and then go to MK for ressies and the night fireworks. My husband isn't into the parks anymore he only goes to make me happy, I was thinking maybe we could wait until 3:00 or so cause the park will still be open for 9 more hours. But I don't know if we should risk it. Plus all the wrist bands for the EMH will be gone.

Mom04,
Are you staying on site??

I am planning the exact itinerary for 7/4. We are going to AK in the am then back to OKW for a break then I thought I would head over to MGM around 4pm. I thought I read that Disney hotel guests are guaranteed admission if you use disney transportation--anyone?

I just spoke with Disney. There is no guarantee that Disney guests get in ANY park. Even if they have been in already that day. There are 4 different phases and she rattled them off to me; alas, I wasn't paying much attention. When the park is full the park is full. WHAT TO DO? :cool1:

This has happened for the last two years that I've been there on the 4th. MK closed both years and I believe Epcot closed last year. I've never heard of MGM or AK closing but with the 50th celebration this year I wouldn't want to risk it. I wouldn't go to any park after 11:00 and think I could count on getting in. Go as late in the morning as you can and then stay in that park. You will need an ADR for dinner at a sit-down and it may already be too late for that. When the park reaches full capacity they will not let anyone else in even if you are a WDW resort guest and even if you were in that park earlier that day. It's a safety issue and believe me it's crowded.

***Please note these days are some of the busiest of the year. If you are visiting a theme park during this holiday weekend, you should arrive early and expect to stay for the remainder of the day. Historically, the parks do reach capacity and guests will no longer be able to enter once this occurs. Having a priority seating will not get you into the park once it is closed.

I took this off of the front page and decided that it would be best to just stay at MGM on monday, we have resses for Fantasmic dinner and I would hate to miss it.
