Park hopping at Disneyland with MEP

So I see that park reservations are hard to come by at DL when using MEP instead of self admit since I have guests with me. I have been checking the park reservations daily before my first day becomes available later next week and when I log in at the earliest time possible all I see is reservations for CA only. If I have to reserve CA everyday of my stay can I hop to DL at my leisure?

If you have had personal experience with doing this at DL do you think any days between 1/22 and 1/28 would be blocked?

I honestly think that there will be days that the parks are not blocked out. Maybe the weekend will be blocked out but not sure. You just have to check every day. We are going the first week of February but only Monday-Friday so I’m hoping we won’t be blocked out. One of our days will be spent taking a private tour around Hollywood and going to Disney Studios. Did this before and it was nice. Good luck.

If only DCA is available, reserve that. You will be able to park hop to DL after 11 a.m. Later, you can always modify your reservation to DL if it becomes available.

Keep in mind that you will only be able to make reservations for 3 days. I'd prioritize the 25th and 26th, since those are weekend dates and a holiday weekend, at that. That's tough since those dates aren't at the start of your trip, so you'd be doing day-to-day for the 22nd through the 24th. Check the evening before (especially from 9 p.m. to midnight) for CM cancellations. I don't know that I've ever seen blockout dates for CA, but perhaps they fluctuate the number of reservations they make available?

Also, fyi having a DCA reservation means you can't enter the first virtual queue for Tiana's.
