Hi! So I haven’t been following the boards or any Disney info since the pandemic started... so finally booked a stay for end of June 2021 and am wondering about how getting into the parks works now. Do I have to reserve days at the parks now ahead of time still? And is park hopping available yet? We always stay at our home BCV and love to hop into Epcot for breakfast or end our day there after hitting up other parks .. wondering if this trip will not allow for that. Also, are masks required when sitting at the pool? Thank you for any info!

Yes
Yes (after 2pm and after you enter your 1st reserved park. It’s subject to availability, but I haven’t heard of problems)
No

Book your parks now. As long as you have tickets you can book your park reservations in advance and if you’re going over a weekend, they can fill up certain parks, so book them early. There is park hopping, but only after 2pm. So you have to book a park for the day (say MK) and you have to enter that park. Then after 2pm you can begin hopping to other parks based on availability and capacity restrictions. You don’t have to make another park reservation for the hopped park though.

Usually once you enter the gate of the pool area you don’t need your mask on, but some people have been asked to put them on when getting up to get towels or go to the bathroom. But when you’re in your chair you don’t need it on.

You’re going to want to check out the main Disney site as they have a ton of info you’re going to need.

thank you!! Feels kind of overwhelming to think about! I had it all figured out pre-covid in terms of one when to book what etc, but now that’s all changed! Looks like I can’t book dining yet and I’m guessing no fastpass. I’ll read through what you linked for me. Thanks again!

What if I have a park reservation for HS and try for a BG at 7am from my hotel room and don't get one. I decide not to enter park. Can I then cancel that park and make a new park reservation at a different park (assuming there is avail)?

As far as I know, you sure can. As long as you do not enter the park, it should be able to be canceled.

Pretty sure that's why they made the change to 7am. DHS has been very crowded due to ROtR, so they are happy if guests choose another park when they don't get a BG.

Wow- you can be in your hotel room and get a boarding group for ROTR? When I went last Feb we had to be in HS to get a boarding group ... sounds like that changed now?

Yes, changed in November, I think. The BGs are given out at 7 AM and 1 PM (previously 2). Obviously the park is still closed at 7, so you can be anywhere, you just have to have a valid ticket and DHS reservation that day. To try at 1:00, you have to have entered the park already.
