Park Hoppers on Ebay?

Hello again,
I was checking out the park hoppers on Ebay. We have one day saved on our park hopper, and I just wanted to see what they were going for on Ebay (I was thinking of getting one more day).
Has anyone had any experience, good or bad?
I've tried to read the feedback, but it's not very specific....
I'm just curious.
Thanks!

I'd be wary. There is no way to see if there are really days left on the hoppers until you get there. Plus - since the tickets are "techinically" non-transferable there may not be a way to recoup the money if you get ripped off.

I would be leary of buying them on ebay as well. They might be good but you really never know. I would also be afraid that I would be stopped at the gates for some reason.

There have been several reports here on the DIS in past years of people buying 'slightly' used hoppers on Ebay only to find that they were worthless. Or had much fewer days on them than they had thought. I wouldn't buy any hopper passes on Ebay....I would hate to get to the gates and find I had no park pass that was usable.

I would be wary of buying them on Ebay. A few years back Dateline did a story on using other people's used Park Hoppers and showed some people were turned away(actually asked to leave the property) when it was suspected that they were not the original users. After reading Mousesavers they said most of the time people pay more bidding on the tickets than what they cost new right now. I decided to look at Ebay and see. Its basically true. In one case a 4-day hopper is up to $275. On Disney's site a new 4 day MYW ticket with parkhopping and no expiration is $285. I think its worth the extra $10 to know its a ticket that you don't have to worry about(if you don't need the no expiration its $245).

Unless you're buying a single-day, unused ticket, isn't it subject to the original owner's finger-scan these days, anyway? :confused3 I didn't think with the finger-scan that you could buy or sell unused days on a multi-day pass anymore.

I'd never buy them off ebay.

They could be empty, they could be fake, Disney could find out and ban you from the parks. Really not worth it!

I would NOT buy any tickets off Ebay! You really don't know what is left on the ticket until you get to the gate..
