Park Hopper

A base ticket is one major (theme) park per day. You are allowed to re-enter the same park if you leave it on one day, but it can only be used at the one park.

Note that the ticket will state on it either "Not Valid For Park Hopping" or "One Theme Park Per Day". That should be a hint.

If you put the ticket in the turnstile of another park the display on the Guest side of the turnstile will be "ACCESS DENIED". The top line of the display on the Greeter side will give information about the ticket, and the second line of the display will say "CROSSOVER NOT PERMITTED". The turnstile will not unlock.

This is because Disney charges $3.00 per day over four days on a ticket, but charges $52 to allow hopping. It does not make economic sense for Disney to allow this.

If you actually have multiple tickets (more than one physical ticket per person) as opposed to multiple day tickets, you can use these tickets for multiple entries. But it makes absolutely no economic sense as a separate ticket costs a lot more than adding hopping to a ticket.

I've always felt hopper were not needed under the following circumstances:

1. With little ones... Is it really worth the travel time to go to to parks and lug it all, and them, from place to place? Stay in the park you chose right til closing and you'll likely be able to hit each ride multiple times.

2. When staying offsite... Again the traveling between parks is time wasted to me. We don't normally hit rope drop, but we tend to stay until close. If lines are too long to do something we feel like we must do we'll target it for another day.

3. On longer stays... you're doing 6 park days or more. You'll get everything in one park at a time for certain. If you're looking at less hoppers may help you get everything in youll feel you need to.

We're doing six nights at Kidani in Jan. We'll be doing three other nights prior to that offsite. We bought 8 day hoppers. Me, DW, DS (11), DD (8). Figured it'd be nice to end nights where EMH's are or simply at Epcot which all four us love best.

Last Jan. same week we did 8 nights offsite. We bought 8 day tix. NO HOP. Never had a regret.

Either way enjoy.

That is probably my most used stock answer, other than the one directing people to the Everything About WDW Tickets locked sticky. And I was only using a #4 font, on DisBoards you can go as high as Seven!
