Park Hopper question

We are going for 6 nights in October with a family group. One person handled all the reservations. She has park hopper passes for us. I think there is only 1 or two days that we need to go to two different parks in a day. I just priced it by purchasing a 7 day pass and it was $200 cheaper. Can you do that? Use another day on a different park after you spent the morning another park? Thanks!

It never fails to amaze me at how many people seem to think there's a chance you can do this.
Yes it would be cheaper which is exactly why Disney does not allow it.
If you try the computer system will see that you do not have a park hopper ticket and will deny you entry into the second park.
Now if you had 2 separate tickets you were using then it would be possible but that would be pretty pointless as it would end up costing you more than just adding the park hopper.

As already stated, no, you can't. But if you're only hopping for one day and the cost is a big factor, I'd ask about rearranging plans and if it's really necessary to park-hop or not.

Adding the Park Hopper is definitely an expense you may want to reconsider if you're only planning to use it once during your trip. For the extra $60ish per person, I would probably just rearrange my plans to avoid having to switch parks.

We park hop every single day (some days multiple times), so it is worth the extra price for our family.

I had a friend who's tickets were set up wrong when reservations were made and they did not catch it until they tried to park hop the first day. They had tickets for 7-8 days and the first night they couldn't get in the park as it was missing the hopper part. They got stuck and had to go to a ticket booth to sort it out before they could get to their dinner ADR as the system knows the difference between the two.

I agree that is is best to change your plans not to hop for those 1-2 days if you don't want the increase across the entire trip.

And they do the whole fingerprint thing so even if you buy a separate ticket and don't put it on your magic band account the system should still catch you.

You can purchase 2 separate tickets and enter one park with one ticket and another with another ticket all on the same day.
That is not against the rules.
However it would end up costing you more in the end so why would you do it?

Oh, thought it was against the rules for some reason. As for the math- well duh! (On me, not you! Lol) Math fail!
