Park hopper plus

Am I correct in thinking the water park option is separate from park days. I buy a 5 day hopper plus that expires in 10 days. Can I go to the parks 5 days straight and then water park on days 6 and 7?

Yes you can. The plus "days' do work a bit different in that they are really entries. So on days 6 and 7, you could go to both water parks on one day, but it would take two of your 5 entries.
