Park hopper plus question

We've been buying park hoppers forever. But never the plus because water parks arent really our jam. But for our trip in September with our granddaughter we are considering it. The wording of how it works is a little confusing, IMO. Let's say we are there for 7 days, and have a 5 day park hopper plus. I know we can use the tickets for the 4 main parks for 5 different days. Would we be able to visit a water park on the other 2 days, or does the water park visit "use up" one of our 5 days?

In other words, could we do
m- MK
t- AK
w - water park
t - Epcot
f- HS
s- waterpark
s- MK

The + option gives you 5 days of water park access too so you would have 5 park days AND 5 water park days. You can go to a water park and a ‘regular’ park on the same day. It would use 1 credit from each ‘bucket’.

Hope this helps.

Nope, I just called and If you buy a 3 day park hopper plus ( water parks) you only have FOUR days to use all of the visits. I think that's CRAZY!!
I'm so angry about it-
If you but a 5 day, you have 8 days...... ugh they are selling a product that you can't use effectually.
We like to have some rest days, but they make it so you can't now.

I also also asked the CM when this window/ time frame changed? And she was like "I think its always been like that"
.....um no. No it hasn't.
If you don't know something just say you don't know or blame the pandemic.
Ok rant is almost over but I'm still super bummed about the tickets for my next trip. We won't be able to stay at the resort, park hop, hit up Universal, water park and then back to parks. It'll have to be go go go go go .stop all Disney, then do universal.

After calling back, another CM was able to tell me that the info the 1st CM gave me wasn't totally correct. Even the the calendar doesn't change, you do get an extra day to use the plus entrances. Not a 14 day window, but double or close to double the ticket. I'm pretty happy about that and so glad I called back to confirm.
The info on the site is an inclusive date.

Yes, I see what you are saying and I have looked at different combinations. The 3 day for us would be from 3/13-3/18 but only valid until the 18th , so 5 days total. That is also what the CM confirmed. The 2 days park hopper plus, on the other hand, can be used in a 4 day time period. 4 day ticket is a full week.
An 8 day ticket is a 12 day window , but a 7 day ticket is only a 10 day window.
So an even numbered day ticket gives you more breathing room.

I see what you are saying you do not count the first and last day of a trip - neither do we- I will say if the water park is open late on arrival day it could be an option as it was very empty that time when we went around 5PM this year for the first time ever... always open to maybe 1 for us. The options are cheaper than one day at the water park but not worth it if you are just using it to get value out of it.
