I was just wondering if you use the Park Hopper Option, or if you opt to not have it and just go to one park per day.

We always get a park hopper. We mostly do one park a day - but invariably towards the end of our trip we tend to do two or sometimes three parks a day to get extra turns on our favorite rides. Also for our family, we tend to find that 1/2 a day is enough for AK and MGM - so we like to hit another park later that day. We tend to be park commandos - but I'm sure everyone has a different take on this.

I'm always tempted but never have mainly for two reasons. One, I'd rather stay longer or upgrade hotels than spend the money for hoppers. Two, I hate spending park time sitting on a bus to get from one park to another.

I have found with some planning, I just don't need it.

I like park hopper simply because it gives you the option of eating at ws on any number of days or nights. If you don't plan on eating there, however, than I guess that would be no reason at all :p

The park hopper is the best!

I always get it. I would hate the fact that I am limited to one park a day. In fact two years ago AAA made a mistake with my reservations and didn't put it on and I bought it while I was there.

I always park hop. Sometimes I go to a water park early in the day and then eat dinner at EPCOT or Magic Kingdom and MGM. I would hate not to have that feature.

Us too. Although I enjoy both of these parks I have yet to end up needing a whole day for either. Of course that might be the time of year we go also.

we always hop. we start at whatever park has morning early hours. Stay until it starts to get crowded around lunch. go back to room for break/swim and then to another park at night.

Absolutely, I always park hop. I like the freedom to leave a park that's too busy, and at the end of our trip we tend to just go to attractions that are our favourites. I also enjoy winding up the day at Epcot, dinner then illuminations. Saving the cost of hopping wouldn't extend my vacation by much, anyway. I also like taking a break on the bus/monorail/boat, gives us a little time to recharge. In 4 days I'll be parkhopping. Woohoo!:thumbsup2

We are staying off site (gasp!!) in 2008. For the first time we will not do park hoppers. It just seems like too much effort to start at one park, get car, drive to second park, get car and drive home. Or even if we use Disney transportation, start in one park, use bus to second park, use bus back to first park, then drive home.

WE have always gotten hoppers in the past, but really only used them on the last day to do commando style, all four parks highlights. With a three year old, I don't see us doing that in January.

We are subscribing to TGM, whom dosen't seem to base his best days on park hopping. First time trying him out too. For my family of five, its a pretty big savings not to hop. Four adults and one child admission at like 40 a piece I think. Roughly 200 bucks. The home we are staying at only charges us 1100 for eight nights including tax, so 200 is relatively expensive.

We actually tend not to use the park hopper option very much, if at all. But I like having it. Then I know if we go to one park, and just aren't really 'feeling it' or its too crowded. We can head back to the hotel for a break to recoup and then head out to a new park!! :thumbsup2

We use it a lot, mainly because we like to re-visit Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Also, MGM and Animal Kingdom are 1/2 day parks for us.

I did purchase hoppers for our upcoming trip and I'm wondering if I'll wish I hadn't spent the money. Never in all the many times we've been to disney have we ever park hopped or wished we could.

You may want to consider if it is your first visit. We did not get a park hopper on our first visit and would have not used it because we were so busy trying to see everything. We had plenty to keep us busy. We spent two full days at MK, 2 full days at Epcot, 1 day at AK, 1 day at MGM and our half travel day at MK. We went to DTD one evening when AK closed early. My children only went in the pool at 9 p.m. when the parks were closed. Also if you are on the dining plan it requires a lot more planning to have a park hopper.

On future visits we will probably consider it because we know what attractions we won't go back to.

We do not get the park hopper option :sad2: We find more than enough to do in each park in a given day. The only real early closing is AK and we typically go to Boma for dinner on those evenings. We have specific park days planned ahead of time as well and avoid crowds at all costs ;)

we are a park hopping family. since we travel in the summer and earlier in our WDW carrears of doing the commando one park a day touring we realized it didnt work for us. we decided to try hoppers and it changed the way we enjoy WDW forever. we have been in parks that were unbeliveably crowded and just left for another park. we do go back to the hotel mid-day to recharge and change and almost always go to another park. i could see how the bus issue may deter others from doing this but only on a rare occasion have we ever had any problems besides, we dont mind the bus rides at all

Our last trip we had the park hoppers, and we never used them. A big waste of $$. We are park huggers - we love to get there at rope drop and stay until closing. There's enough to do in one park each day, and we don't have to waste precious Disney time traveling from park to park in one day (we fly down & use Disney transportation).

The big factor for us this year - we saved $160 by not hopping, enough $$ for us to splurge for MNSSHP tickets. THAT in itself is going to be worth not hopping.
