We are coming for spring break and have two park days. We will split rope drop HS/epcot one day

My family are huge Everest fans and love flight of passage so we thought we’d drop drop those and then immediately head to MK using LLs. Will we regret this? I am nervous since we won’t “unlock” a ride at MK right away.

anyone done anything like this? We did this with genie plus last year and it was great - but this is a whole new ball game.

I haven't used the new system myself but I've been doing oodles of research. From what I've gathered, the best strategy for park hopping is to book an easy/low wait ride in your first park of the day as early as possible then immediately book whichever Tier 1s or Tiers 2s in the park you're hopping to. Easy enough though everything hinges on availability and you're going during spring break. Your Tier 1 MK pick may sell out initially but there are refills held back day-of. Reference thrill-data.com. It depends on your risk tolerance. You'd want to weigh whether you're fine with having your top three priority picks at MK be what you get out of LL MP that day or you want to work the system through refreshing. Most people on these boards discuss working the system to get the most for their money. Sources like Earscouts and Mammoth Club on Youtube provide guidance on helping you do that. Good luck to us both. I'm headed to Disney in March as well.

I doubt the Tier 1s at MK will be available day of during spring break. I would book your 3 advance LL at MK. You could buy a LL Fop if you have the budget space, try for a VQ for Tiana’s at 7 am if you don’t want to use your MK tier 1 on it. The majority of the people at AK are going to Pandora at rope drop so Everest should have pretty low waits.

If it was me I would buy a LL for FoP for as close to park open as possible. I would then head to Everest first. If staying on property and have the early 30m you can probably ride Everest multiple times. Even if not most people go to Pandora first thing.

I have the same question! Going to AK/MK on the 16th. I'm leaning towards booking LLs for MK for 3pm on, knowing that I may only be able to get another 1 or 2 mid ones. My risk tolerance is low.

Are you staying on or off-site? That might determine which park you initially purchase for.

I was offsite between Christmas/New Years, and by the time I could book, MK already didn't have availability for what I wanted, so I booked basically junk LLs at AK instead, but with the first scan-in at 8:10. It took some luck but I was able to modify throughout the morning, and got the initial rides/times I wanted at MK for the afternoon/early evening, and was able to get a couple more there as well as soarin for a late-night Epcot. I think I only used the 1 lightning lane at AK, and the rest MK/Epcot.

I'd recommend planning to book afternoon MK and check availability there first, but if you can't get decent times that work for you, go AK with a very early "throw-away" to open up MK day-of booking.

That’s me too. I think I’ll just book the mk lanes and rope drop ak/wait stand by. I have only two real big hitters at Ak and so many more at Mk
