Park guide

We've been to IOA & US several times and this year my travel agent suggested getting a guide that goes with you and will hold your stuff while your on rides, give you info on the parks and generally be a park nanny. I have never heard of this before and wonder if anyone has done this. It sounds interesting and we are considering it. How does it work? Love to hear from someone who has done this.
