Park Crowds Feb 2-9, 2008

Hi everyone, I was really looking forward to the parks being quiet for our trip this Feb. 2-9, 2008. However, i just realized this is the start of Mardi Gras and I know the parks do some sort of celebration of it. Will this mean it will be a busy time or will it still be pretty quiet? We will be off site so no FOTL! Thanks for your input!

We were there this past Feb. 2 & 3rd (i think) and the parks were quiet. Express lanes weren't even open during our day there Friday (weekday), but they were open on the weekend. Park closes early for Mardi Gras celebration... You'll be fine....it'll be quiet.

How early will the parks be closing? I know they close early this time of year anyway, but will they be closing extra early b/c of the Mardi Gras events and do these events require an extra ticket? We will be at the park weekdays that week ( Feb 4-8)! Thanks

We'll be there February 14, 15, 16, and 17th ...The Madi Gras will be going on during that time, too?

I'm just a newbie to these boards, but we went to Disney this year on the week leading up to President's Day. The crowds were nothing on Wednesday, but by Friday, they were tight. On Sunday, it was complete gridlock. I think you'll be fine as long as you miss President's Day weekend.

We went late February but it seems February isn't a bad time at all to go, outside of Presidents Day weekend. Weather is generally pretty good, too.

If I had to do it again, I would have made the Thursday before that weekend the last day of the trip (@ Disney anyway...)
