Park crowd differences?

Is there much of a difference with park crowds comparing IOA and US on any given day? We haven't been since before Hogwarts Express and I'm thinking that might make crowds more even. One crowd calendar doesn't have the same level of recommended vs not for the two parks though.

Last time I went ( Jan 2015 ) Studios was way more busy with most of the crowds in Diagon alley and Despicable me
