Hi.
We will be at Disney March 22-28, 2013. I have been Easter week before and utilized RP and FP but this trip we are going with my ds's HS baseball team for WWoS Spring Training and they are going to the parks after games/practices. I'll be back end of August for my "real" trip but this trip we are just going with the flow (I hope I can do this since I'm definately not a go with the flow type of gal LOL and ESPECIALLY at Disney LOL).
Anyway, we have dinner ressies booked for 3 nights at 3 different parks for 20+ people. How do we find out if the park is closed before we get there? Will we also not be able to have our dinner as a group?
I'm the Group Coordinator so just want to have all our bases covered (oh, that was a funny considering I'm talking baseball). :)

You can check park hours on the Disney site.

Thanks. I have the hours.
So, are you saying every time we get on the bus to go to a park, I need to check Disney park hours on their site to see if the park is closed :confused3

I think she is concerned about the parks being closed due to numbers, not hours.
I'm not sure there is a guarantee that you can get into your park of choice even if you are staying at a Disney resort and with such a large group winging meals really isn't an option. I know that MK is usually the first park to close and it usually is on the holiday itself. Since you will be there the weekend before Easter you may be ok. To cover yourselves you might want to look at reservations outside of the parks (maybe call and see what is left, there may not be much) just in case.

There really isn't anyway to know about staged closings in advance.

What restaurants do you have ADRs at? Do any of them have credit card guarantees?

Did you mean finding out park hours, like when the park will close for the night? Or do you mean finding out if a park has closed due to capacity issues? I read it as the second questions, but obviously the poster previous to me read it as the first...

If they have ADRs at the parks they're going to, then I think they're asking about phased closures due to crowds.

If the OP is staying at an onsite resort, the concierge desk should be able to get them this information. Also, the bus drivers will know since they will likely not be allowed to take onsite guests to the park in the last phase of closure.

So sorry I wasn't clear.
I have all the park hours.
I want to know how do I know if a park will be closed due to capacity.
Does the bus still take us there even if it is closed? I have never had to
deal with this issue since I am the person that is at RD 30 minutes early even when crowd calendars show a 3 for the day :rotfl:
Thanks so much!

Thank you. They boys are staying at CBR with their team.
I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Thanks so much.
