Park closing time

Only 24 days to go to our holiday so now into planning overkill!

Two quick questions-if DL closes at 8pm, what time do the counter service places close? I mean , could we go into a counter service place at 7.55 and still get served-we only have one precious day in DL and I don't want to waste a second with luxuries like eating! Ditto the shops on Main Street-are they still open and serving after 8pm like at WDW? (DL is the last day of our holiday and I know I will have to be carried out screaming.....)

Each counter service restaurant has various operating hours. Please check with a Disneyland Resort Cast Member during your visit.

I can tell you now that they all close before Park Closing, with the exception of the Tomorrowland Terrace in Tomorrowland and the Golden Horseshoe in Frontierland, as well as the restaurants along Main Street USA.

Generally most nights, the shops on Main Street USA will remain open for one hour after scheduled Park Closing, for your shopping convenience.

Coke Corner, Blue Ribbon Bakery, and Gibson Girl are the last eateries to close in the park. Definitely as before hand as too often people are left with Coke Corner for grub.

many thanks- I just can't wait-and DBf has decided-of his own accord that the second to last day he'd like to visit DCA-we were earmarked to go to the OTHER place (You know, rhymes with smooniversal) but he's read the guide book and now fancies DCA instead-this is why I love him!

Is your boyfriend a typical man and interested in food and/or wine? Starting 24th of April is a nearly month long Food and Wine Festival at DCA. There are pay to participate dinners and events. There is an 11 and under Junior Chef program on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. There are for 21+ adults wine tastings and other booze related stuff. There are food samplying and cooking lessons. Some eateries will offer special added items on the menu.

Plan B
You must be at the monorail and the monorail must be working for this evil plan to work. Take the monorail to Downtown Disney. this will put you near ESPN Zone and Rainforest Cafe to your right along with the hotels. To your left is the esplanade, park entrance, trams, etc plus some might fine eating. See below.


Plan C
Exit the park at about 8 PM and head for Downtown Disney. On your left is lost of great restaurants, see below.

Catal is an upscale Mediterranean restaurant that is chic and has great food. A bit pricy but still it is rather romantic and not many kids.

An outdoor bar with Catal food wed with EXPN bar type of food. I gues that is the best way to describe the menu as a bar menu combined with Mediterranean. Pesto flatbear, pear flat bread, Philly prime ribe sandwich and sliders.

Note: Sliders started out as tiny baby burgers served at bars as an appetizer. Now places are making chicken sliders and others.

Tortilla Joe's is a Mexican tourist trap. I got some Mexican born people in my town who can make you real Mexican food.

"Red Chile Broth Pork Soup - $6.95" is really pozole so that irks me to no end that they are Americanizing the cuisine. As I say come to my pueblo and we will show you how real Mexicans and Latinos cook.

House of Blues as events that you pay for but the regular dining is great and is southern, southern wannabe, and American cuisine.

New Orleans style of cooking and them beignets are to die for. There is take out, downstairs, bar, and fancy upstairs dining areas. They use a lot of boozes in food like abita beer and wine. The food is excellent but you got to like southern cooking and the place tends to be a bit new cuisine style of cooking and not like grandmother's cooking. Upscale and tourist dinng are both available and one I recommend strongly.

Next to the Tram stop and highly recommended. They do get more kids than say Catal but they do have great food.
