Park Buses

Last time we used Disney Buses to Parks from FW was 12/2019. Our return to FW after COVID was last November and we weren't ready yet to use Disney's Buses to get to Parks, so drove to the parks instead. I prefer to take the Buses, I like to not have to use my truck except to get to FW and then travel back home. We'll be back to FW in November 2022 and wondering how well the Disney Bus to the parks system is working relative to wait times for Park Buses at the Outpost and wait times from the Parks back to FW? Is the system running as well as they were in 2019 (pre-covid)?

I'm looking forward to getting back to FW in November and would love to be able to use the Park Buses again, return to 'how it was'.

All I know is they are short on drivers and they have started using Academy buses to take up the slack.

Just returned from staying at Disney value resort while also visiting almost every other resort to check them out and our bus experience the entire trip was great, no problems.

I remember seeing some Academy Buses at the parks last December when we were driving to Parks. I wouldn't think their bus design would be as efficient as the actual Disney Buses, especial for handling folks using scooters.

We were at the Fort for 2 weeks in January. It was busier than normal, but buses seemed to be running similar to pre-Covid. Most times it was a reasonable wait, but there were times it feels like your bus will never come.

Thank you everyone for your responses. We are looking forward to our early November trip with our son, daughter-n-law and 2 grandkids (ages 6 and 1 1/2) with the hopes of using the Disney Park Buses as we had in the past.

Stayed at Fort Wilderness at the end of June. Took the boat to MK, buses to AK and EPCOT. No major problems with any transportation. Had to wait maybe 15 minutes at the Fort Wilderness depot for the buses going to the parks. Seats were full, but no standees. Went back to the Fort late afternoon and buses were not even half full.

As of June 2022 busses where pretty normal schedule. Though they are still short drivers and hiring Academy to supplement. Overall the worst wait was MK to AK after a strong storm and traffic was causing busses to run behind. Otherwise bussing felt at the same level as New Years 2020.
