Park balloon questions

We'll be bringing a stroller on our next Disney trip, and we want to buy a balloon to identify it in the crowd. Baby Boy will be 11 months old, and I remember my children love-love-loving balloons so much at that age. A couple questions:

- Is this a good idea, or will it just be one more in a sea of black strollers with balloons? It's been a long time since I paid attention to strollers.
- I know that if our balloon is damaged, any balloon vendor will replace it -- is this true just on the day of purchase, or is it also true on Day 4? I don't mean to sound like such a cheapskate, but those balloons are pretty expensive.
- We'll be staying off-site, and we'll be making a grocery store run on our first day. Would we save much by purchasing at the grocery store? We'll have to transport the balloon (in the trunk with the stroller) several times anyway.

We're also making /laminating a sign with our family name on it, which we will attach to the handle in case anyone else should accidentally try to take our stroller. Really, WHY are all strollers black today? I'm missing the mint green stroller that I had back when my kids were born.

Other ideas for identifying our stroller?

Hey, not sure about balloon replacement and I've never heard that before. I'm sure it's true but we've never done that with all the balloons we've bought over the years as we've never had any issues with them. If getting the baby is a balloon is a treat, by all means do it but if the real reason is to ID the stroller, I'd pass, plus having to take it in the car. It might not hold up well with heat in the car trunk and might be better off if you take it inside the car.

There are other less bulky ways to identify your stroller that might be less of a hassle. We did a tag with our names and we had a stroller bag attached to the handles that was brightly colored so you could see our stroller from space. The worst part is not only identifying your stroller but just finding it since a lot of time CM move parked strollers. Just whatever you put on the stroller, make sure it's visible from all angles, the tag/yarn, whatever it is since there may be at ton more parked when you return. Also, make sure you keep the umbrella on the stroller closed when you park it as they'll just heat up in the sun and then return to a freshly baked stroller that no baby wants to sit in. Also you may already know but you can't bring the balloon to Animal Kingdom.

We found it much more convenient in the park but especially on transportation to tie something bright around the handle of our stroller rather than get a balloon.

We made a tag already -- big tag and homemade, so it looks like no one else's -- but we also like the idea of a balloon because it would "stick out" above the strollers and be easy to see from a distance.

The tag we've made will be visible from the back side; that is, where a parent would stand while pushing. I don't know how to create a tag for the other sides. Ideas?

Now that I hadn't considered, but it sounds like very good advice.

Yes, I did know that -- but thanks.

I totally agree a bandana or something similar is easier, but it isn't as easy to spot in a crowd of strollers.
