Park at resort and ride shuttles or monorail to MK?

We are coming to WDW next weekend and are staying off-site.
We really want to go to the resorts to see the Christmas displays.

Can we drive to a resort and then hop on a shuttle to go to the other resorts?

Can we leave our cars at a resort while we do that? What about leaving it there all evening while we go to MVMCP?

I am not trying to avoid parking at MK, just trying to find a way to see everything we want to see without the need to park at each place.

Thanks!

Lots at the Disney resorts are posted with signs stating that parking is not allowed for theme park access. This is because folks try to use resort parking to avoid paying the parking fee at the parks and the result is that guests paying to stay at those resorts can't find parking spaces at their own hotel.
Park at the TTC (MK parking lot) and use the monorails, boats and buses from there to visit resorts and parks.

Glad to hear that. Transportation wise there isn't any difference between parking at the TTC, walking over to the POLY then using the monorail to visit other MK resorts then going to MVMCP then parking at the GF and doing the same thing.

Thanks! That's a good idea... although I'm guessing once we have parked at MK, we can't leave without paying to park again. Is that right?

I'm trying to fit a lot (probably TOO much, of course!) into a long weekend. I was thinking we could visit resorts during the day Sunday, head back to our home that we are renting, get changed for MVMCP and then head to MK.

Any other ideas?

Although it might be a pain, could we just park at each resort and go look at the displays and then drive to the next one? Are there parking places for just coming inside to look?

Which ones are "must sees"?

Thanks!

No, just keep your receipt and you can re-enter or move between theme park lots all day without paying a second time.

Why do you need to change for MVMCP? I like to visit the deluxe resorts before going to MVMCP, but I just end with the monorail resorts, eat at Chef Mickey's, then go to MVMCP from there.

As far as must sees, I would say YC, BC, BW, WL, AKL, and GF.

I was just thinking of having a little bit of down time before heading to MVMCP. It makes for a lonnnng day to run around to different resorts & then spend 8 hours at MK.
But boy am I excited!!!

Here's a thought...get to the TTC pretty early, maybe by 9am or earlier. Hop on the monorail and check out the GF and the CR. Take the boat from the CR over to WL. Then, boat back to MK...there are different boats at WL. There is signage so you'll be fine.
At MK.....take the bus to BW (or any of the Epcot resorts)...walk around the lake and check those resorts out....BW, S/D, YC/BC. Take the boat from YC/BC to DHS (or walk if you want, takes under 20 mins). When you get to DHS, take the bus to AKL/Kidani and check them out...make sure to do Jambo House if you only want to do one of them. Then, take the bus back to MK and hop on the monorail and head to the TTC, get your car and head back to your resort. Keep the receipt for parking so you don't have to pay again when you return for MVMCP.

Just reading that makes me tired!:faint:

Approx how many hours would that plan take?!! Wow, that's alot of resorts. I was going to try and see 3-4 of the main resorts.

I usually break them up into two days.....do the MK resorts on a day I'm in that area, and then the Epcot resorts another day since that's where I usually stay.
If you do it all in one day, due to not going to the parks, I would say maybe 3-4 hrs...depending on how long you stay at each resort.
