:) staying at the newport bay for a week in august, whilst where there we would like to go to park astrix, does anyone know how far it is and the best way to get there thanks.:goodvibes

It is not too far, about 40 miles north of Paris. Best way to get there is to drive past Charles De Gaule and towards Lille/Calais - it is signposted off the motorway. Enjoy.

We had a great day there last summer, It is very different and there are lots of good rides. I would say it took us between 30 and 45 mins. It is very well signposted and just off the motorway.

Hi

We visited Asterix 3 years ago for a day(as well as 3 days at Disney :) ) and I would definitely recommend it! Going this year again.

Don't expect Disney atmosphere and there is little English spoken or signage, it being largely frequented by the French, but the rides are superb. If you like big roller coasters and plenty of great water rides, this is the place to go!

I would say it is similar to Busch Gardens in types of rides.

Incidentally, if you receive Tesco vouchers, you can get a one day pass (which you exchange for a ticket on arrival) for £6:50 of vouchers - worth around £26. :thumbsup2

thanks for the info guys but i should have explained we are not driving so what would the best way to get to park astrix would going by train be ok thanks.

Here is there WEBSITE

There seems to be a direct bus from the entrance to the Louvre museum. You can take the Metro of the TGV to Charles de Gaulle and there is an ADP shuttle No5 to the bus station and then you take the Parc Asterix bus from there.
This is from the website.
