I am going on a quick girls trip with by bestie to Florida in July. We will be spending two days shopping and three days at Disney (staying off site). I have been to Disney World several times however she has never been there. I know I want to take her to Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. What do you pros think I should do for the third day? Take her to revisit either Epcot or Magic Kingdom or visit one of the other parks as she has never been there? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, this will be my first time going without small children. Any must do things for adults? TIA!

MK / EP are the too main parks! if your going as two adults you both may find Animal Kingdom intresting, especially the food and beverage choices at this park.
in all seriousness it really depends on what you want to get out of your visit? are you drinking in the parks? are you going all day? until close? few more details bout your days would be good to judge what you may be able to achieve in those 3 days.

I agree with Ash, it's hard to say unless we know ya'lls preferences. Personally, I'd do Epcot, MK and AK at least. Are you going to have park hoppers? if so, I'd say hop between AK and HS and MK and Epcot. That way you'd get to see a little of everything.

I agree that it depends on personal preferences. If you have a park hopper, go to AK during the day, then hop to HS for the evening.

I agree with the OP it all depends on what you want to do.

For us we couldn't skip DHS as we love RnRC, ToT and TSMM so that park would a must do for us.

Have fun with your friend!

Of course, as others have said, it depends a lot on what your goals are, BUT . . . since you asked what we would do . .. I personally would spend a 2nd day either in MK, or EPCOT. There is so much to do in both of those parks, it just seems like there is never enough time to get to it all.

I appreciate the suggestions. I hadn't considered a park hopper. I guess because I have a 6 year old and soon to be 2 year old twins so we really didn't need a hopper when we went as a family. I do like the idea of Animal Kingdom during the day then hopping to Hollywood Studios in the evening. I also know that there are plenty of things to do at Epcot and Magic Kingdom and we could easily do a second day in either park. We are not big drinkers but we do enjoy a social drink. When I am at Disney want to go, go, go! I could easily do rope drop and close out the park. I have a feeling that she will want to take breaks.

Please keep the suggestions coming! Decisions, decisions!

There's no wrong way to enjoy the parks with your friend. . . But since you asked:
With someone who has never been and a trip that isn't long enough to do at least one full day in every park, I'd stick to only MK and Epcot. You still won't see *everything* in even those parks. If you think you are better suited to channeling your inner child and doing character meets, riding classic Disney dark rides and parades, I'd do that 2nd day in MK. If you would like a leisurely wander with a beverage or two, food sampling, the shows in the countries and a trip on Soarin and Test Track, then I'd do the extra day in Epcot.

What a fun choice to have to make! Have a great time!

Show her the Disney Parks DVD and let her decide! Remember in July it's going to be hot, hot, hot, so going all day will be tough. I think I would skip the park hopper unless you're going to use it more than one day. It's right at $60 per person.

Totally agree. We always do 2 days at EP and 2 days at MK. So if our trip is only 4 days, those other parks aren't going to see us at all.

3 days at Disney I would do 1 full day at MK, 1 full day at Epcot, then get park hoppers and do AK in the morning then take a break for lunch, then HS that afternoon with fast passes set up for HS (you won't need any for AK in the mornings). That way you guys can ride Toy Story or Rockin Rollercoaster, and get on ToT. Then finish the night with Fantasmic

It would be hard to pass up this plan because DHS does have several of my very favorite rides, and I do love AK. But I'm a cheapskate so probably wouldn't spring for hoppers just to do it. If you love roller coasters, though, AK and DHS do have Disney's best, IMO.

I am not a fan of coasters unless they are more tame. I enjoy Space Mountain and Big Thunder but the thoughts of going on Rockin Rollercoaster or Expedition Everest terrify me! My friend has never tried a coaster and thinks that Dumbo is more her speed! Maybe we should skip the hopper and do a second day at either Epcot or Magic Kingdom. I hate missing parks though....

If she likes thrill rides and the nighttime shows then DHS as they have two of the better thrill rides and Fantasmic. (they also have Star Tours) DHS also has some great shows. Beauty and the Beast, Muppets, Lights/Motor/Action, Indiana Jones.

If she's not a thrill ride fan then I would do another day at one of the other two. AK is nice if you like walking through the zoo exhibits but I agree it's a half day park.

There are some nice lounge shows at Boardwalk, DTD and the Port Orleans resorts. Go have a drink and listen to the music.
