Paris - Macaron Making @ Ecole Ducasse

Hello! Has anyone done this macaron making class during the Paris ABD? With such limited time scheduled to be on our own in Paris, I’m wondering if this is worth doing or if it should be skipped. I’d love to hear any reviews! (We will not be traveling with small children if that makes a difference) - Thank you!

The next question is where is he next stop ?

If there is a follow up stop on the tour I would " go with the tour "
BUT find out how long the Macaron making takes And then sit out side have a beer /coffee & watch the world go by

Didn’t do that one, but did do the one at Le Cordon Bleu. Was great and if time allows I think most folks would enjoy it. At the end, you leave with about 2 dozen macaroons in one of those white, thin cardboard boxes, plus a reusable, branded fabric food transporter, and I think a couple more pieces of LCB schwag. It was thorough but not drawn out.

On a different trip, we did a Paris-Brest making class at Maison Fleuret. While I love eating macarons, to my tastebuds, the Paris-Brest wins. It was also a fun class, but had a more mellow vibe than at LCB.

We really enjoyed this class last summer, but we also have a now 18 year old who was very interested in learning how to make macarons; we also have a now 21 year old. They really involved both children and adults in the steps of preparation. For us, it was very much worth it and fun.

Thanks for sharing about these, I didn’t know they were out there for non-group travelers and they do look like fun! I will have to keep this in mind for my next trip to Paris.

I've been dying to get back to France and never met a macaron I didn't like so I'm also keeping this in mind.
