Las Vegas Paris lv or Mirage?

My husband and I are staying one day/night in Vegas prior to our D-land trip in June. (It's a gift from my boss for our anniversary; I work as a travel writer.)

I can choose whichever hotel I like. I like both Mirage and Paris.

Kenny (that's hubs) name and I don't gamble or club hop. The pool? Meh. We're more interested in seeing the city, eating at a good restaurant, taking pics (that's me, I'm a part-time photographer), and shopping! We've been to Vegas before in 2008 and stayed for two days. (Vegas/Disneyland)

I love the Mirage and Kenny would like all the attractions. My thing is: we have one day. I don't want to just stay there. I want to see other places too. Paris though, we've always wanted to stay there.

Our actual anniversary is June 17, but we're going June 9-12. After our night in Vegas, we're headed to Disneyland!!!!

Well since it basically just a room and location question, not ammeneties. The standard rooms at the Paris are worn down so if you get better than basic that would be my choice. It has a slight edge on location. Granted you are most surely going to walk by or through the Mirage even if you don't stay there.

If you stay in the mirage. With limited time you may only see Paris as you walk down the other side of Las Vegas boulevard.

Mirage rooms are nicer; casinos are comparable, as is location of each.

Go to the Mirage. You are next door to the Forum shops and the restaurants plus the resaurants & shops at the Venetian are close by on the other side of the Strip.
If you get in to town early enough walk down to Paris & have lunch at Mon Ami Gabi .That along with Emeril's at MGM & Spago in the Forum shops have been our must dos on our 5 Vegas trips.

We stayed at Paris about a month ago, paid for a one level upgrade to a "Premium" room, and had a great view of the Eiffel Tower and Bellagio Fountains. Really enjoyed our trip. Location was good too - across the street from Bellagio, and very near new hotels Cosmopolitan and Aria, walkable distance to MGM, NYNY, and Caesars. For cheap eats we stopped at Earl of Sandwich in the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile shops. I'd say that's the best deal in town. It's the same outfit that has a location at WDW's Downtown Disney. For nicer meals we ate in the hotel at Le Provençal, Mon Ami Gabi (dinner inside, breakfast on the outside patio), and of course the Boulangerie and the Village Buffet.

I really don't think you can go wrong with either. I like Paris, but either would be nice.

I vote Mirage. I have stayed in Paris once and this will be my 3rd time at the Mirage (July). This will be my 11th trip and we have stayed at 9 different places. Mirage is our favorite...location, restaurants-the Stack for one, the Secret Gardens, the pool, the volcano, next to the Forum shops at Caesers, Beatles Love (Cir. show), WE HAVE GOOD LUCK THERE, the dealers are nice (I know you said you don't gamble...for us this is nice), gorgeous rooms and lobby...PLUS Vegas Vacation was filmed there Have fun whatever you choose. P.S.- we stayed in Paris and the room was quite dirty.
