Hi, assuming that there are tour buses in Paris as in most cities, does anyone know how much they are? I'm thinking that this would be the best way to see the main attractions in Paris, as our visit will be limited to a day and we want to fit as much in as possible. Surely the hop on/off tour buses would be ideal especially with kids? Can anybody offer any advice on going from DLP to Paris for the day?

you can find prices in the DLP brochures. Those can be downloaded via official DLP page. Mostly people have done the evening tour due to not loosing time in DLP :goodvibes

There are both organised day and evening trips from DLP and if you look in the Trip Report sub-board there are reviews for both.

If you prefer to do your own thing it's a very simple 40 minute train journey into Paris. We thought the same as you and did a hop on hop off tour for our first time into Paris and it was ideal to get a good snapshot of the city. We got off at Auber and took the L'OpenTour bus (office is just across the road from Auber Station), in fact we did two different loops so saw all the major sites plus got off to go up the Eiffel Tower. I think an adult ticket was about €25 a few years ago but the up to date prices will be on the link.
