Beauvais - Paris Beauvais Airport, France

heading to Disneyland Paris for the first time in Jan , have booked our flights with Ryanair flying into Beauvais Airport,
need tranfers or is it easy to drive there and get a hire car
any info would be great thanks

Transfers are a nightmare. Its almost essential to hire a car and the major car hire companies are represented there. Its over 100 Km to DLRP but its all motorway, and takes you under one of the bridges that aircraft use to taxi at Charles de Gaulle airport - which is quite a sight to see if one is happening to be ambling across the bridge.

Beauvais is a great little airport, I am not a fan of these large airports.

thanks for the reply
do you think it is better to perbook car hire or just sign up for one when we are there
never knew it was so far away

Prebook, then all the paperwork is ready and saves you the time filling things out at the desk. I also think that most companies have a minimum 24 hr notice period so just turning up may not work.

The airport is north west of the city, so you have to skirt around Paris clockwise to get to the east where the park is.

There are 6 car hire companies there:

Avis
Hertz
Europcar
National
Ucar
Sixt

We are paying only £70 for car hire for 3 days in December. We will only use it for the transfers too, choosing to take the shuttle buses to the park, and it is still cheaper and a lot more convenient to hire a car.

great price what company did you use

Hertz.

The only downside is that there is a €600 excess on damage or theft. This can be waived by paying around €20 per day at the desk.

We get round this by buying an annual car hire excess policy, as we hire at least 3 times a year from this company for only £49 pa:
