Im a lifeguard at a local pool and have become friendly with one of the moms. She has two kids DD9 and DS10. I mentioned to her today that I was going to see POTC tonight and how excited I was. She LOVES Johnny and her kids really want to see the movie. She asked me to tell her if I thought the movie was appropriate for them to see in the theater or if it was a "rent it and fast forward through parts at home" kinda movie. After watching it I'm not sure what to tell her and since I'm not a parent myself (I'm only 19) I can't gauge based on my kids. So parents who have seen it what are your thoughts on the movie for a 9 and 10 year old? Thanks!!

This one was probably 3 or 4 and the sad thing is the parents wouldn't leave. I felt bad for the kid but angry that it somewhat ruined my viewing of the movie as I missed a few things said because of the whinning behind me. We will be going to see it again when it is less crowded so that DH will have a chance to see it so I will catch what I missed then.
