Parents - question about kids and computers....

Our computers are all in the office, my work Mac, DS's PC and DH's laptop. DS got it for his 4th birthday and while it is connected to the internet at his age he doesn't know how to get to any sites other than the ones I've approved and added to his favorites. Mostly he just plays his games while I am working. He doesn't use the computer unsupervised.

Right now my 10 year old dd uses the computer in our upstairs office. When hers is fixed, she'll use it in her room. She's had her own computer since she was 8, but with restrictions. We have AOL, and the parental controls are awesome. We have it set so that she gets one hour a day to use the internet, when her hour is up, AOL automatically logs her off. She's blocked from adult or inappropriate websites. She only visits her school's website, Disney, Nick.com, Pogo, and a few other girly sites that I don't worry about.
