parents may buy - is BWV still available?

Hi

My parents are thinking of buying into DVC and really loved Vero when we went there - they're more beach people than DW people - but I was trying to explain all their options and wondered if new contracts to BWV are still available - and now I read only October use year is available for add-ons for VB - does anyone know if new contracts are still available there?

Also - we live in SC and there is no incentive here - but have DVC friends in Ohio - anyone know if there is incentive there to give their names to a guide as referring them?

Last I spoke with Disney, they have points at both resorts, but that was about 2 weeks ago. I even think there was an extra incentive to buy at VB. I believe there is an incentive for someone referring you into DVC. I want to say they get Disney dollars or something like that (I really can't remember exactly).

There are BWV contracts available in the resale market. That's how we got ours. Once Disney sells out a resort, that's the only way to get a new contract. And we saved some money versus what Disney was selling points for at that time.

I don't know if Ohio residents are eligible for the referral awards.

I bought a June BWV add-on today. There are more points available, but not for all months.

The points at BWV are not just limited to add ons yet.

I signed my contract yesterday!!!!

I'd stayed at BCV in May using rented points, and became a believer. My DH and I did the tour then, and went home and talked about whether it made sense for us. I scoured these and other boards asking questions, did the math for our family, and decided to buy.

We'd heard that BWV had opened back up due to the sales center moving, and we were leaning toward them due to being able to book a std. view room. I couldn't spend that type of money though without knowing that BWV would feel like home, so I rented more points and just spent a quick weekend down there. I took the video camera, and explored every nook and crannie of that place.

My ultimate decision was that BWV was "home" for us. I signed my contract for 230 points (June use year) yesterday! When I spoke with my guide early last week...they still had 16,000 points in June. Not sure what they had left by yesterday. She did tell me that they also had February points, not sure about any other months.

thanks for the information - I'd love them to buy at BWV so I could "borrow" their points once in a while!
