Hi!

Not sure whether to pack the Child Health Record the health visitor gave me for DD4 and DS 9 months. Neither have known health problems so there isn't much in there other than dates of immunisations.

Do you travel with yours?

Thanks,
Mandy :)

No, i have honestly never heard of anyone taking health records with them, unless they have medical problems that they may need treatment for.

Nope never took mine. Only woukd if they suffered with a medical condition

No we have never taken ours either, I would if there were health issues though.

Never taken ours or even thought about it. Would probably be different if your child had a medical condition. We actually had to take DD to see a Dr one year and we were not asked for anything like this.

No I don't take my DD's either, and one of them has food allergies and asthma but never had any problems with her princess:

We've never taken ours. We've also used the medical facilities in the US several times for both DD's and we've never been asked about immunisations.

Ok, I'll be the first YES! I am one of those 'You never know' people who think for the small amount of space required in your suitcase for them, it might be worth it, especially if you have young children, or children who suffer repeated illnesses.
My DD 9 used to get tonsillitis every 4-6 weeks until the docs finally took them out a couple of years ago, and my DS 4 looked like he was going to be the same up until the beginning of this year. He has settled down a bit now, but during the last few days we were in WDW last march he became unwell and we had to call the docs out. His first bout of tonsillitis. Major hassle trying to get people in CBR to help you in the middle of the night when your DS is burning up and delirious, but we sorted it in the end, and the doctor who came was fantastic, very thorough, and we were able to enjoy our last day in MK. Also, people at our insurance company were great, too.
Sorry for rambling, but the point I'm trying to make is that the medical record WAS of use to the doctor who came.
Hope this helps! :)

No. I have it all in my head. However, if one of my sons had a medical condition or a serious allergy I would make sure they had some record of that fact in their possession.
